Learn British slang: chuffed

I would define “chuffed” as an adjective which describes someone who is very pleased about something, and flattered at the same time.

EXAMPLES

“I was well chuffed with my exams results.” (I was very pleased with my exam results.)

“She’s chuffed to bits with her birthday party.” (“Chuffed to bits” means “very chuffed”.)
